The Coffee Boutique – Milton Keynes

This week I visited “The Coffee Boutique” located at Oxley Park in Milton Keynes, it is somewhere I have been meaning to visit since it was taken over by its new owners just over a year ago, and after I saw some of the magnificent cakes that they post on their twitter page!

On arrival the shops exterior is very understated and minimalist but when entering I was greeted by a surprisingly large airy space with a shabby chic and almost homely feel.

We were welcomed by one of the friendly owners Michelle and immediately set our eyes over their fantastic cake selection…my mouth was watering at every one!

I finally decided on some home-made Tiffin (made by Kelly’s Cupcakes) and a flat white and was served a large slab of the chocolatey goodness and a homely mug of coffee.

The coffee an Italian medium roast from Moak had a good and consistent quality with a nice crema, which complimented my cake very well.

Overall I’m not sure whether “The Coffee Boutique” falls into the category of Specialist Coffee or Cafe, but it certainly seems to be a quaint and homely place with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

It is definitely worth a visit if your nearby, especially if you’re a family as they offer a great selection of cakes, sandwiches and Panini’s, not to mention teas, coffee’s,milkshakes and juices that would cater for all.
