Coffee shops are good for your creativeness!
“A study by researchers at the University of British Columbia and the University of Virginia suggests that moderate ambient noise–70 decibels, like that found in a coffee shop–can boost your ability to come up with creative ideas. The moderate noise distraction, researchers speculate, may aid in abstract thinking.”
this idea has been taken a step further by an American team who have got together and created an app/website called “COFFITIVITY” that recreates the ambient sounds of a cafe to boost your creativity and help you work better, you can also have on-demand background noise wherever you are.
its certainly a novel idea…although I think I will still prefer to actually go to the coffee shop!

Great blog! Do you have any tips and hints for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost
on everything. Would you propose starting with
a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option?
There are so many options out there that I’m completely overwhelmed ..
Any tips? Thanks!

thats interesting indeed. I often go to coffee shops in the morning to do my first hour of work because I had always felt that the coffee shop atmosphere set me up for being productive throughout the day. the app is cool, but I think i’ll keep heading to coffee shops instead! 🙂

That explains it! I always do my best work in coffee shops. There’s nothing worse than trying to get something done in a quiet room. =|
